TERMS OF USE

Last updated: September 25, 2026

Welcome to The CEU Experience. These Terms of Use govern your use of theceuexperience.com and the information, educational content, and materials made available through this website.

By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use.

  1. ABOUT THE CEU EXPERIENCE

The CEU Experience develops educational content and continuing education experiences for counseling professionals. The website currently provides information about upcoming educational offerings, including Ethical Drift: Professional Responsibility and Ethical Decision-Making in Counseling.

  1. CONTINUING EDUCATION STATUS

Continuing education approvals, eligible professions, jurisdictions, credit hours, provider information, and completion requirements will be identified for each course when applicable.

Unless expressly stated otherwise on the applicable course page, information presented on this website should not be interpreted as representing that a course has been approved for continuing education credit by a particular licensing board, credentialing organization, or jurisdiction.

Participants are responsible for determining whether a course satisfies the requirements of their individual license, certification, employer, or jurisdiction.

  1. EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE

Content provided by The CEU Experience is intended for professional education and informational purposes.

It is not legal advice, clinical supervision, medical advice, or a substitute for consultation with an applicable licensing board, professional organization, attorney, supervisor, or other qualified professional when circumstances require it.

Professional standards, laws, regulations, and licensing requirements may change and may vary by profession and jurisdiction. Participants remain responsible for understanding and complying with the requirements applicable to their own professional practice.

  1. COURSE CONTENT AND DRAMATIZATION

The CEU Experience may use dramatization, fictional characters, simulated professional situations, humor, satire, music, commentary, storytelling, and other creative formats for educational purposes.

Unless otherwise expressly identified, characters and scenarios used in dramatized course material are fictional or created for educational illustration and should not be interpreted as representations of actual clients, counselors, disciplinary cases, licensing-board proceedings, or other real individuals or events.

Dramatized situations are intended to facilitate professional education, ethical recognition, reflection, and decision-making. They should not be interpreted as legal conclusions regarding how a particular licensing board, court, employer, or professional organization would resolve an actual case.

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND PROHIBITED USE

All course content and materials provided by The CEU Experience are proprietary and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

This includes, without limitation, course videos, films, dramatizations, scripts, dialogue, characters, storylines, music, audio, graphics, animations, photographs, written materials, assessments, educational frameworks, course structure, branding, logos, downloads, and other original content.

Purchase of or access to a course grants the registered participant a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the course solely for the participant’s own educational purposes.

Course content may not be copied, downloaded except where expressly permitted, reproduced, recorded, screen-recorded, photographed for reproduction, captured, shared, distributed, transmitted, uploaded, published, publicly displayed, performed, sold, sublicensed, modified, adapted, repackaged, or used to create derivative works without prior written permission from The CEU Experience.

Course access may not be shared with another person. Login credentials, course links, videos, assessments, completion materials, or other restricted course content may not be provided to individuals who have not independently obtained authorized access.

The course or any portion of its content may not be used to create, develop, train, market, or deliver another course, continuing education program, presentation, training program, educational product, or substantially similar commercial or educational work without prior written permission from The CEU Experience.

The course may not be displayed or presented to a group, classroom, organization, conference, training program, or other audience under an individual participant’s access unless The CEU Experience has provided written authorization for that use.

Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, sharing, or commercial use of The CEU Experience content may result in termination of course access without refund and may subject the responsible party to remedies available under applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of The CEU Experience intellectual property to a participant or website visitor. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by The CEU Experience.

  1. LAUNCH LIST AND EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS

Visitors may voluntarily join The CEU Experience launch list to receive information about course availability, enrollment, continuing education details, founding launch pricing, and related announcements.

Joining the launch list does not constitute enrollment in a course and does not require payment.

Subscribers may unsubscribe from marketing communications using the unsubscribe option provided in those communications.

  1. PRICING AND ENROLLMENT

Prices displayed before enrollment opens are planned or promotional prices and may be subject to change before purchase.

Final pricing, payment terms, access periods, refund or cancellation policies, and course-completion requirements will be presented when enrollment becomes available.

Joining a launch list or expressing interest in a course does not guarantee enrollment, course availability, continuing education approval, or a particular price unless expressly stated otherwise.

  1. COURSE ACCESS AND INDIVIDUAL USE

When course enrollment becomes available, access will be provided only to the individual registered participant unless otherwise expressly authorized by The CEU Experience.

Participants may be required to complete specified course components, assessments, evaluations, attendance or participation requirements, or other activities before receiving documentation of course completion or continuing education credit.

A participant may not represent that a course has been completed, or seek a certificate or continuing education credit on behalf of another person.

  1. WEBSITE AVAILABILITY

The CEU Experience may update, modify, suspend, replace, or discontinue portions of the website, courses, features, or other content as the program develops.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the website or any particular feature.

  1. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The website may use or link to third-party services for functions such as email communication, payment processing, course delivery, video hosting, analytics, or other website functions.

Use of those services may also be subject to the applicable provider’s terms, policies, and privacy practices.

The CEU Experience is not responsible for the independent practices or content of third-party websites or services.

  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the extent permitted by applicable law, The CEU Experience is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of this website or reliance upon its informational or educational content.

Professional decisions remain the responsibility of the individual professional. Course participation does not replace the participant’s responsibility to exercise professional judgment, consult applicable ethical standards and laws, seek appropriate consultation or supervision, and comply with applicable licensing requirements.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

  1. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

These Terms of Use may be updated as The CEU Experience, its courses, and its services develop.

Any revised Terms will be posted on this website. The date at the top of this page identifies the most recent revision.
